Welcome to Educational Technology 2.0!
This site is an online portfolio of work by Melanie Broxterman as part of the MAET program through Michigan State University.
"Technology is a tool that serves a set of educational goals, and if we don't think about what we want the technology for first, we end up with technology-driven solutions that have very little impact in the lives of children and in our educational system.“

Technology in the Classroom
iPad tea party
Using technology within the classroom is imperative to the engagement, participation, and skills development of ALL students. This includes the use of mainstream and assistive technologies implemented to create the most accessible classroom.
Discovery Education suggests that Web 2.0 is about revolutionary new ways of creating, collaborating, editing and sharing user-generated content online. My goal for Educational Technology 2.0 is about creating, communicate, and sharing user-generated content online in an effort to create the best learning opportunities for all students through collaboration with educators from around the world.
